Schedule:
9:30AM-10:15AM Our event starts with bike to bike trick or treating at gathering time at Assembly Line Park, which is an area of Assembly Row that will be closed to cars. Bring a bag of candy to hand out, stand next to your bike. Kids should bring an empty bag/container to collect candy and go bike to bike trick or treating. Don't arrive too late so you don't miss out on this fun time. We will have limited quantities of extra bags for collecting candy and bags of candy for handing out, we don't want cost to be an issue or for any family to be left out if they forget. Also grab coffee or breakfast from Cafe Neero or Tatte, which are part of Assembly Line Park (and use their bathrooms if you need to). Also robot activities from Robo Hub.
10:15-10:30AM Costume fashion show and remarks
10:30AM The ride is a safe 2.9 mile ride on non car paths in Somerville and Medford. There are only minor auto crossings which will be marshaled.
Please ride slow, yield to pedestrians, stay to the right, give space to other riders, pass on the left. Parents please coach your kids in these rules.
11:00AM-12:30PMish Play at Mystic Riverbend Park at the brand new McGlynn School universal playground and on the lawn with our own play equipment. Plus rock painting, temp tattoos of our skeleton rider artwork. There will be a portable restroom on site. Note there is no motor vehicle parking at this site, it is all reserved for a church that rents the McGlynn School. This is generally not a problem for our group as we don't use motor vehicles but please be aware.
There is no group ride back, families depart on their own.
We suggest having lunch afterwards nearby at Ford Tavern, which is popular with families.
